Adamson Vergence (VGt & VGs): A New Standard in the Canary Islands

Eventalia Group incorporates the revolutionary Adamson Vergence system (VGt and VGs) into its technical infrastructure in the Canary Islands. Discover the power of its 151 dB and its innovative cardioid control for large-format events.

The future of audio is here

At Eventalia Group, we understand that being at the forefront of technology is not an option, but a commitment. For this reason, we have taken a definitive step forward in our technical offering with the incorporation of the Adamson Vergencesystem. This ecosystem, comprised of VGt large-format enclosures and VGs subwoofers, places our Islands on par with the most demanding international riders.

Technical Training and Certification Days

The arrival of the Vergence series at our facilities in Tenerife was no ordinary delivery. During an intense week—including the reception of the equipment and three days of specialized instruction—our technical team underwent high-level training conducted by Aaron B., engineer at Adamson Systems Engineering, whose educational expertise and technical proficiency allowed us to maximize the system’s capabilities.

This milestone was made possible thanks to the constant trust and support of SeeSound, whom we sincerely thank for traveling to the islands. We would especially like to highlight the collaboration of Carles Ribó, Nacho Alberdi, Oscar Naveiras, Manel Bautista, and Chuchi Fernández, whose experience was instrumental in delving into the configuration of a system designed for the most rigorous productions.

Beyond learning about the Autolock modular system or Milan AVB technology, these sessions were a privilege, allowing us to reconnect with former colleagues and strengthen ties with industry professionals with whom we look forward to collaborating very soon.

The Moment of Truth: «Play»

Following the measurement and calibration sessions using ArrayIntelligence software, we organized an exclusive listening showcase. We invited prominent sound engineers, event producers, and concert promoters from across the Canary Islands to be the first to experience the system.

The expressions on the attendees’ faces as the first chords resonated spoke for themselves. The combination of unprecedented vocal clarity (thanks to its patented mid-range transducer) and the sheer power of the VGs subwoofers led to one clear conclusion: the standard for live sound has changed.

A moment of maximum anticipation: engineers and promoters from the islands testing the response and clarity of the Vergence system live.

Cardioid Technology: Absolute Stage Control

One of the points that sparked the most interest among attendees was noise management. During our interview, we asked Aaron B. to explain the concept of «cardioid for dummies,» and his explanation couldn’t have been clearer.

In a conventional system, low frequencies tend to be omnidirectional; meaning, they travel forward (towards the audience) but also backward (towards the stage). Aaron explained that the Vergence system allows us to «cancel» that rear energy.

What does this mean in practice for an event?

  1. Clean Stage: Artists don’t have a distracting «bass build-up» interfering with their microphones and monitors, allowing for a much sharper monitor mix.
  2. Noise Control: In festivals or events near residential areas, we can direct the sound with surgical precision, preventing energy from escaping where it shouldn’t.

The most revolutionary aspect, as Aaron pointed out, is that this function can be toggled on or off—something extremely unusual and powerful in systems of this caliber.

Conclusions from Aaron B.

We weren’t the only ones impressed. Aaron B. himself highlighted the professionalism of our technical team: «Everyone learned very quickly. We flew the system several times and they grasped it immediately. I am confident that the Vergence system will be an exceptional tool for Eventalia Group in this market.»
